I first came across Court House Realty when I was searching the internet for prospective properties in Queensland. The Court House Realty site caught my attention. I've bought and sold properties with Geena over the last few years and she has my highest recommendation. The first property I bought with Geena I was a real estate agent sceptic. No way was Geena actually going to listen to me about what I wanted, she would just try and sell me a stale overpriced property that didn't tick any of my boxes. Well I am happy to say that I was proven completely wrong! There was no stale property at all; Geena used her incredible network to find a property that wasn't even on the market, ticked the boxes and we agreed on a contract the same day. Most importantly for me, no BS.
I've also sold two properties with Geena with both of them being sold in 2 days and both with big smiles on my face. The second property I listed with Geena as I was about to depart on an overseas holiday and I joked with Geena that I expected a deal by the time I landed which was to match the previous 2 day sale. I would like to pen a few words in appreciation of Geena Court and her business associations.
My primary involvement with Geena is in Short Term Accommodation property management business where she has managed my room rental at Sunshine Tower.
I have two other properties managed by different agents and Geena’s statements are the least onerous – clearly the easiest to follow and the online database makes it simple to track the present and future rentals.
Other agents’ statements are bogged down with a myriad of management and cleaning fees which erode any attempt to keep the books in the black. It seems that as a property investor our sole purpose in life is to support the army of contractors that feed off the property management market.
I particularly like the habit of giving me a phone call when an issue arises instead of relying on an email which has the potential to be overlooked.
Geena’s management techniques are a breakaway from the norm and clearly cost effective with the use of her own cleaning staff.
Overall, a well planned successful management system - that works.
I have owned this Sunshine Tower unit since 1996 which has endured a short period of success followed by a long and disastrous decline.
The sale price of the units dropped to a fraction of the market price and desperate people took desperate measures.
Following a lengthy period of failed management attempts to resurrect the Tower, Geena played a major part in refereeing the team to turn it around into a successful venture once again.
Geena has a personal commitment to the building and is determined to get a fair deal for the owners. She rallied a group of unit owners who where keen on selling and used a united approach by offering a package deal to investors.
This approach has paid off, contracts have been signed and a number of owners are looking ahead to a brighter future in 2018.
Geena may have won an award for ‘Business Woman of the Year 2006’ but in my opinion, she deserves the additional honour of ‘Business Woman of the Year 2017’
I have no hesitation in recommending Short Term Accommodation for rental management and Court House Realty for property sales.
I look forward to using Geena in the future for the sale of my other property in Cairns.
